The blacked-out Adidas Yeezy 350 Boost arrived at retailers about a week ago and prices on the secondary market are already hovering around $1,000.
Needless
to say, if you're willing to shell out that type of money on a pair of
kicks you might as well do the research to ensure that you're buying an
authentic pair.
In the slides above, you can find a comparison
between an authentic pair of the Yeezy 350 Boost and a fake pair,
which are incredibly close to the real thing.
Factories that are
producing knock-off Jordans, Nikes and even the Yeezys have become so
good at their job that the only way to differentiate between pairs is by
examining the precise size of the logos, the placement of the
stitching, the packaging of the laces and other subtle details.
In
some instances, fake receipts are even being produced which makes it
even harder to distinguish between real and fake kicks, especially when
buying online.
These particular fugazzi Yeezys are so well done
that it's nearly impossible to tell the difference except for some
extremely minor details.
That's thanks to some Adidas factory
workers who double as manufacturers of fake Yeezys, and use the same
materials that Adidas does on their unauthorized pairs.
